Starting in February, we will have open mat time for kids from 1100 to 1200 every Sunday at our dojo in Mita, right after the Kids class held from 1000 to 1100.
Members of kids classes at our Aoyama, Mita, and Hiroo dojos are welcome to participate, but we would like their parents or guardians to participate as well. We have a large number of parents in our membership training BJJ as well as their children but thus far few opportunities for them to train at the same time.
Members would naturally be free to train with their own children during open mat time as well as other children participating in the class. We will always have at least one staff member attending the open mat, who will be happy to give instruction if asked.
Parents or guardians of children training in BJJ but not training themselves are also welcome to participate as we have uniforms (dogi) available for rent and there are no other costs or fees required. We would invite interested parents or guardians to give it a try and find out what the kids are training.
